Cail played community and sports such as soccer, volleyball and basketball and excelled at hockey, badminton and tennis. As an under-ager in his only year in Nova Scotia\u2019s top Midget League he was the leading point producer for his Valley Wildcats and was selected to the Rookie All-Star team. In 1992 Cail was one of only two Nova Scotians selected to National C.A.H.A. Elite Development Camp. After a successful season with the Ottawa Junior A. Senators of the Eastern Ontario League he was selected by the Kingston Frontenacs of the O.H.L. In four successful seasons with the \u201cFronts\u201d,his last as team Captain, he amassed 67 goals, 103 assists for the 170 points in 243 games. Cail became one of hockey\u2019s greatest shot – blockers. Along with his hockey he graduated Grade 13 in Kingston, Ontario. Moving into professional ranks in 1997, in an eleven year career he changed uniforms more times than\u201cClark Kent \u2013 Superman\u201d including: Jacksonville (Fla.), Trenton (N.J.), Reading (Pa) and South Carolina of the E.C.H.L., Cleveland, Indianapolis, Michigan and Grande Rapids (Mich) of the I.H.L.; Hersey, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Lowell, Providence Bridgeport and Hertford of the American Hockey League. Often he had more than one stint with a team and numerous seasons served as Captain or Assistant Captain due to his tremendous leadership qualities. In 747 games Cail potted 266 goals garnering 258 points for 524 points. Through much hard work outside his hockey activities, Cail earned enough credits to graduate with his BSc in Business Administration and wooed an American bride, Keri Coco; inside hockey his knowledge and work ethic won him an Assistant Coach job for a year followed by the position of Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the South Carolina Stingrays of the E.C.H.L.<\/p>\n
