At Dalhousie University he set an A.U.A.A. record, still standing since 1982, and was Silver medallist at the C.I.A.U.\u2019s. Tim placed first in numerous Provincial and Atlantic Open Meets, still retaining the record of 2.12m for Atlantic Canada. He represented Nova Scotia at the Canada Games in 1982 in Thunder Bay. He was Nova Scotia Track & Field Associations\u2019 Male Athlete of the Year from 1979 through 1982. After University he competed for a time at Open Meets in Ontario before taking a hiatus for athletic competition for over a decade. When Tim re-invented his athleticism rather than jumping he was now leaning \u2013 as in arm wrestling. Beginning in the local Middleton area in the 1990\u2019s.
\nTim was soon winning Provincial then Atlantic Championships in the Lightweight Division both right and left-handed. Soon it was on to the National and then the World Arm Wrestling Federation. In 2003 in Ottawa at the W.A.F. Championship he won Bronze and then in 2005 in Tokyo, Japan, he won Silver in both right and left hand competition.
\nAlso in 2005 Tim won Cleves\/New Balance Ikon Sports Award as Nova Scotia Athlete for December and was a finalist for Athlete of the Year. Still competing at nearly 48, in 2009 Tim was Provincial, Atlantic and Canadian Champion! Tim Wrigley was born in Halifax. Being an Air Forces\u2019 son he lived in various locations before settling in the Valley in the early 1970\u2019s, and finally in the Middleton area in the late \u201870\u2019s. At MRHS Tim starred in track and field especially the high jump, volleyball and as a goalkeeper for the \u201cBlues\u201d. During his high school career Tim won many N.S.S.A.F.
