In 2001, Stacy showcased her volleyball prowess by playing a pivotal role in leading the VNS Bantam Club Volleyball team to victory at the Provincial Championships. By 2002, she expanded her athletic achievements to include soccer, contributing to her teams’ victories in the NSSAF Regional Soccer and Volleyball Championships. Her versatility and skill across multiple sports were becoming increasingly evident. Stacy’s outstanding performances were acknowledged when she was named MRHS Junior Female Athlete of the Year.
Stacy’s talent took her to the international stage at the International Children’s Games in Taipei, where she represented Canada. Her team secured a third-place finish, and she was recognized as a co-captain and a member of the all-star team. In 2003, Stacy was part of the NSSAF Regional Basketball Championship win and collected a bronze medal at the Provincial Championships. She was also named MRHS Senior Girls Volleyball Top Rookie. In 2004, her team won both the NSSAF Regional and Provincial Basketball Championships and earned a bronze medal at the NSSAF Provincial Soccer Championship.
During her high school graduating year in 2005, Stacy was part of the NSSAF Regional and Provincial Volleyball Champions, securing bronze in NSSAF Soccer Provincials, and winning silver in NSSAF Basketball Provincials. She was honored as MRHS Senior Female Athlete of the Year and was the MVP for soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Additionally, she received the Coaches Award for softball and track and field, was named the NSSAF Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Nova Scotia Female Volleyball Player of the Year and Volleyball All-Star at the Canada Games in Regina. During her time at Acadia University, she was named Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Year and achieved Academic All-Canadian status for three years.
Stacy Elliott’s impressive achievements in various sports have made her a role model and an inspiration for young athletes. Her dedication, talent, and academic excellence exemplify the qualities of a true scholar-athlete.
