Description
Though a multi-sport athlete it is in Cross Country Skiing where his true proficiency was on display. He burst on the scene with the Special Olympics in 2012 in St. Albert, Alberta, winning a gold medal in the 1 km race, and two silvers in 100m and 500m. Provincially in 2015 he won gold in 100 m and silver in both 500m and 1km. Nationally in 2016 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, Tim earned bronze in 500m and placed 4th in 100m.
Tim has also achieved in competitive bowling. Regionally since 2004 to the present, he has been a ten time medalist, winning 3 gold and 7 silver with his team.
Tim was also an important part in the success of Special Olympic Floor Hockey and Soccer teams. Provincially from 2004 to the present his soccer team has won 5 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals. Since 2005 his floor hockey team has done well, winning 1 gold with Annapolis/ Shelburne.
Tim Prosser has overcome many obstacles to gain prominence in the field of sports over the years.
The Sports Heritage Wall of Fame is honoured to welcome him as a most deserving Athlete Inductee.
