At the Mosquito “B” division in 1973 the timely hitting of Jimmy Wilson paced Middleton all year. They eliminated Kingston then Greenwood enroute to hosting Petit De Grat of Cape Breton for the Championship. Middleton swept them in two games with Doug Biggs twirling the first game for a 6-1 win and Crawford Bailey on the mound for game two a 7-4 victory.
