Description
At the Beaver “C” level in 1974 Middleton hosted Inverness, Wining game 1 to down Inverness 5-4 behind the pitching of Mark Porter with relief from Sid Peters in the 3rd inning. Gary Armstrong had a home run and a double. Again Middleton needed an extra inning in game 2 versus Windsor to eek out an 8-7 win with Sid Peters going the distance for his second win and banging out a double. In their third game Middleton only needed the regulation seven innings to drop Hunts Point 14-7 behind the pitching of Crawford Baily relieved by Peters in the forth and finally Duff Bishop in the seventh. Bailey helped his own cause with a home run while brother Paul Bailey bagged a big grand slam homer.
