In Summer she was just as busy helping her Sidekicks to a three-peat as Nova Scotia Tier II Soccer Champions in 1997-98 – 99! She played from 1994 to 2000 with her Middleton Magic Club Volleyball team winning Gold Provincial Champions in 1997. At Junior High Kristen was Most Valuable Player in both Basketball and Soccer and Female Athlete of the Year, while later in Senior High she was MVP in Basketball and Volleyball and winning Female Athlete of the Year!
In 2000-01 and from 2002-04 Kristen was a valued member of the Acadia University Women’s Volleyball Team in Wolfville. She helped the Axettes to second place at the Atlantic University Sports Championships in both 2003 and 2004!
From 2008 to 2014 Kristen was a valued player, and often coach, on 4 Wing Cold Lake Women’s Volleyball team, winning many accolades. In 2010 her team was Western Conference Champions and RCAF Team of the Year, and at Canadian Armed Forces Nationals Kristen won All Star Team laurels as Setter. In 2014 Kristen was Cold Lake Female Athlete of the Year and RCAF Female Athlete of the Year for Volleyball. Kristin’s ability was recognized with numerous other Base teams, adding her for Nationals including: Halifax 2007, Winnipeg 2009, 2011, and 2013, finally winning Gold with Ottawa in 2017. From 2009 to 2013 she was a member of the International Sports Council; playing at the World Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2011 her Team Canada won the Most Sportsmanlike Award, and in 2014 the Volleyball Military World Games.
